New Indian Express featuring AGAM - "The inner self"

MIRINDA Ooh La La, the music hangama with a differ ence, created ripples in the city recently with professionals to amateurs participating and trying to win over A R Rahman's compliments.

Zinx, the band, went to the finals with a wild cart entry which won them a trip to A R Rahman's studio.

‘‘I will recognise talent anywhere,'' said A R Rahman and true to his words, the finalists were not the only ones who won.

Many bands were awarded the opportunity to gloat over A R Rahman's words of praise. Srishti, Oxygen, Agam, V3, Zinx and Madras Tunes are the bands who eagerly await to enter the portals of a different world.

‘‘ARR is my demi god and to have won his appreciation is more than a dream come true. We never thought we will win, because we didn't make it ‘ to the finals, but we won,'' said members of Madras Tunes.

‘‘Music took the centrestage and it was a fun-filled opportunity with contacts and experiences to last a life time,'' said a member of Oxygen.

‘‘We are going to make an album with A R Rahman in his studio. Sa re Ga Me is going to release it. Things could never be looking better,''chorused the excited musicians.

‘‘With the able guidance of the grooming section, amateur bands like us were able to perform better,'' said members of V3. Even as excitement filled the air, all the singers hoped they would raise to the expectations of maestro A R Rahman.

Biggest surprise I have ever had in my lifetime !!!

A.R. Rahman announced us one among the 6 winners .. This happened even after we were eliminated from the Semi Finals round of Mirinda Ooh La La La Band Hunt Competition 2007 !!!!

First time ever I have seen such a cool video clipping from Sun !!!

SpyLocked !!! - Damn you Spywares ...

I am putting this up so that someone who is in the same S**T H**E will find this post and do the right thing first ...

Reached Chennai this morning for a happy weekend at home ... First thing I did was to switch on my computer to check my mails .. There was this stupid annoying pop up message - "You system might be affected with malacious spywares .. blah .. blah" - coming up every 1 minute .. I right away went to my best friend "Google" to fix it ... a few hints to start off .. smitRem, xSoftSpy, Windows defender ... but nothing seemed to work ... Then I came across this spyrware removal utility "Spyhunter " .. http://www.enigmasoftware.com/ ... Installed it right away and ran the Quick Scan .. this guy was cool !!! .. it listed somewhere close to 90 infected entries .. but the only problem was that it was a FREE SCANNER not a Removal tool !!!
Now I was in a fix what to do .. then decided I have to get this spyware somehow out of my computer.. Had to take the hard route !!! Started deleting all the Cookies, Registry Entries, Files and many more entries manually ... Deleting the registry was the biggest pain in the whatever !!!

After about 45 mins of accurate typing and serious strain to my eyes, I was done with the list .. and rebooted my machine ... It worked !!!! Finally the pop ups vanished ..

Hope this post helps some deserted soul in the same Deep S**T as me ...

Photo Session - Not a joke !!!

Myself, Vignesh, Shyam, Malli and Sumanth were spending our evening at the most crowded place in Hyderabad (EAT STREET) on the eve of Vodka`s (My X-room-mate) mariage in Hyderabad 2 weeks back ... We took this short boat (would one call this a ferry ?) trip to the Budha statue which is located in the middle of the lake ... [Had to kill time some how:))] ... Vignesh as usual - a 'camera freak' he is, took pictures of anything and everything that was around him ... The flood lights !! .. the water fountain [with no water flowing out of those nozzles :)] ... and finally the huge buddha statue came in to the camera frame ....

Guess what this photo should have captured !!!

Its the famous RDB shot !!!! Except that the camera clicked before any of us could even jump .. [All Fat IT employees ... you know how difficult it would be .. !!!]

"Never mind... Lets give it another try guys" .. I said ... and just take a look at the crap that got in to frame when we tried the second time :)

Hazzy fat idiots jumping rather smeared all over the place !!! Poor sumanth couldn't even take off from the ground :)) ... Everyone was standing with our hands around the shoulder of the one standing next to us ... So it turned out that I (last but one from the left) had my right hand around Malli`s(extreme left corner) shoulders .. and just before the camera clicked .. I thrusted upon Malli`s shoulders and accidently flicked his spectacles and it went flying the air ... :) :O and Malli was shouting aloud .. "Ddeeeeeeeiiiiiiiii ........" in looking at his glasses falling down on the ground :)) !!!! You could even see him looking at the glasses lying on the ground in the snap ...

Ok back to the photo shoot ... All this was while we were trying to use the auto-click feature ... hence screwed up with the timing ... "Dhimak ka batti nahii jalla" .. Thought it would be a good idea if one of us actually clicked the snap ... [Vignesh on to camere as usual !!!] .. Look at this piece of art that came out when vicky said

We didnt give up on the deal even after 2 futile attemps .... "One more try guys" .... Even worse ..

But this photo actually is very significant ... Try this it wouldn't take much time to save the last two snaps on to your hardisk .. and try flipping them one after the other ..

Check out the magic it creates ... [One the most hilarious dancing movements I have ever seen in my life time !!!] ... Guys its really worth a watch ... And finally we could manage one ....

Seriously getting this one photo took around 30 mins and we missed our boat back !!! somehow managed to swim back to the shore [:)) Haa.. Haa ... Take a good look at the fat idots !!! doesnt seem possible ..] We took the next available shuttle and reached home ...

Ambigous results by Google !!!

Check this out .... I typed "link:blogs.sun.com/SC" on the search bar and see what it gives ...
(Sorry for such a bad image .. Could help it .. I wanted to capture the entire page !!!)

If you notice carefully at the bottom it shows 5 pages to come in the 1st page ..



when you click "next" ... it shows 5 pages to go in the 2nd page ..



But now when you click "next" again it shows 3rd page as the last page !!!!


Where are the other pages which it promised before ? Aasa Dosa Appalam Vada !!!!

Some random surfing i landed at the Google webmaster tools which gives statistics about urls .. I was surprised to see this strange behavior .. When you type in the google search bar any url prefixed by the "link:" keyword it gives you all the Back Links for the given URL .. But the count that shows up on the top-right corner of the results is mis-leading and more importantly erroneous ??

What does the "Results 21 - 22 of about 60 linking to blogs.sun.com/SC. (0.18 seconds)" mean ? I dont think 22 is about 60 ? Do you ? In some cases it has only 600 results but it shows about 15000 !!!
